Gold Traditional Plakat Male
This Gold Male Betta from my line made me proud by winning 1st place in Aquafair 2013 IBC Competition. He was champion in the "Form Variation" class, where he is a traditional plakat. Photos here are of him a few weeks before the competition. During the competition he was larger and his fins length/size and colors have reached full potential.

Gold Halfmoon Betta Female
This Gold HM female made me proud by achieving 2nd place in last week's Aquafair
Betta Competition (IBC), which also happened to be the largest betta
show ever to be held in Malaysia.
She won 2nd place in Solid Color HM/DT Female Class. Thought I'd share the joy. :D

Gold Double-Tail Halfmoon Male
Hi all, here's a half-decent gold DTHM male from me. The form & finnage on this piece is pretty poor, but currently I think this could be the best DTHM that I've produced thus far. I said I think, because for past DTHMs I never really took care of the water/timing of jarring and their fins were pretty horrid ... :S Maybe in the future, there will be nicer DTHMs popping out from this line.

A recent Gold Halfmoon Male
Allow me to share a recent Gold HM male from my line that I've been working on for around 2.5 years now. Finally seeing some improvement in overall balance and anal shape, something still very rare in gold HM lines that I've seen around. Of course there are positives on this fish, but negatives are there as well. It is always challenging to juggle the development of all traits (form/finnage/balance & color/intensity), and hope that there will be further improvement in the future. Wish me luck!
I just entered him in a local show, and he achieved 3rd Place in the Light Metallic Halfmoon Class. Not bad huh? :) He has just been sold to a local betta enthusiast.

Intense Gold Double-tail Betta
This is my proudest achievement so far. This male Doubletail Plakat (DTPK) from my line won champion in a recent IBC International Competition. He was placed 1st in the Double-tail Show Plakat class which were contended by 22 show bettas. Do you think that this is the best double tail plakad gold betta you have ever seen? :)

Fancy Fire Female Halfmoon Plakat
This is one of my favourite Fancy HMPK Females, and one of the best fancy females that I have produced. I love her body shape and color-pattern. She has been sold in an auction, and fetched quite a high price. Many thanks to the buyer. :)

Awesome 6-Color Fancy OHMPK
This time, let me share with you a show plakat that not only has good balance and form&finnage, but also has excellent colors, contrast and marbling. I'm told from the person whom I bought this male from that it is from an Indonesian breeder (no idea who he is though). Planning to use him to cross to my young fancy females soon. Wish me luck. :)

Male Gold HMPKs
Here are some males from a recent batch of gold plakats. Generally the intensity is not as good as the intense gold batches, but are still quality golds nevertheless. To me, it is caused by most of them having more opaque. I'm quite satisfied with the color for this batch as most of them are clean golds, with pretty even color. BTW, all of these are sold.

Intense Gold DTHMPKs
Sharing some of the males from one of my recent gold plakat batches. For
this spawn, the gold color is the best that I've achieved, and
personally, the most intense gold that I've ever seen on show bettas.
The metallic spread also has seen further improvement here, with almost
all having very good metallic spread including the pectorals. Hope to
continue improving on my gold DTPKs, especially on the DT form &
finnage. Wish me luck!

Best Gold HM females I've produced so far
Sharing two sibling HM females from a not-so-recent "recent" batch. At
the MAHA Competition end of last November, Female 1 won 1st placing in
the Female HM Unicolor Class and 2nd place overall in the Female
Division. Sorry , I did not manage to take photo of her with prime
finnage condition. I delayed till Christmas for the photoshoot and did
not take water change seriously. Furthermore, I accidentally did some
minor damage to her anal before the photoshoot when scooping her out
using my bare hand - yes, very seldom do I use the krabuey or net to
move my bettas... :(
But seriously, normally for me, the bare-hands method offers the lowest
probability of causing fin damage - however, sadly this time I
blundered...
Photo of Female 2 was taken about a week ago. Both are DT-genos, but Female 2 looks a good prospect to boost up the dorsals of future DTs.
