Yellow Gold Dusty Dragon OHM
This is a rather decent piece from one of my Gold Projects, a Yellow Gold Dragon Over Halfmoon male. This betta is almost 4 month old at the time picture was taken. Despite the heavy branching and soft rays, this fish is quite balanced overall and masking is decent. It is good to note that the scales are pretty even, which is a good thing, as bad scaling normally comes together with heavy branching. Fish was put up for auction a few days ago, and is already sold.
Orange Dragon HM
Here's a recent piece from one of my secret projects. This Platinum Orange Dragon Halfmoon came from parents which are phonetically without orange. Nor do the parents display the whitish dragon scaling. Fish is approximately 3.5 months when picture was taken.

Red Bronze Metallic Dragon HM
This interesting piece is one of the results from one of my spawns, a Red Bronze Metallic Dragon Halfmoon male. The bronze effect on the fins was achieved by the combination of the metallic layer over the red base colour. Fish is approximately 3.5 months at the time picture was taken.

Superb Super Red HMPK !
This exciting male Super Red Halfmoon Plakat (HMPK) is bred by Jit Sin, a local Malaysian breeder. If you are a breeder from Malaysia and you don't know who he is, go kick urself on your own forehead... hahaha... Anyways, this is a piece with great finnage, superb deportment, very intense red which covers almost the entire fish, no black scales, and very very little irids. The photo seem to show a bit too much shine since I used very bright lighting for this photoshoot, but believe me, iridescence is almost undetectable on the actual fish. For those who think that his anal is too long, please go get yourself a copy of IBC standards and read it. Haha... ;) If you say that the anal is slightly long, I may agree, but definitely it is not too long.

If you are talking about Malaysian bettas, in my opinion, one of the best reds in the South-east Asian region are bred by Malaysian breeders. I'm not saying this just because I'm Malaysian, but the quality of the several lines that we have at the moment is simply outstanding. Therefore, in my humble opinion, Malaysians should be aware of this, and should be proud of this achievement. For those residing in other countries, you are very much welcomed to come to Malaysia for your vacation so that you can stop by and look at these gorgeous red bettas yourself! :)

One of my early Gold Dragon HMs
Here I would like to share one of the male gold dragon halfmoons (HMs) that I've spawned. This piece has good broad body, fantastic dragon masking, good color separation and above all outstanding gold hue and shine. He is sold and now belongs to a new local Malaysian owner.
